Who says art has to be behind glass or painted on a canvas? An inexpensive way to create large, bold artwork is to wrap fabric around a canvas. It's simple! The canvas shown above is 36"w x 48"h and was purchased at Meininger's (a local art supply store) for $50.00. This size canvas takes only 1.5 yards of fabric. Wrap fabric tightly around canvas and simply staple along the back of the frame. Below are some fun options by Marimekko.
